Where Healthcare Marketers Need to Focus in 2021

Coming off an incredibly challenging 2020, healthcare marketers find themselves off to a rocky start to the new year teetering between the positive potential of the new COVID vaccine and the ongoing reality of a pandemic exponentially accelerating across many parts of the country. While the persistence of the pandemic prolongs hospital efforts to restore normal operations and convince concerned patients to return for care, the COVID vaccination opens a unique window of opportunity to engage consumers in the community and bring the pandemic closer to ending.

Despite what will likely be a dynamic and unpredictable marketplace for the first half of the year, strategists and marketing communications professionals can continue to play a vital role in helping their organizations to survive while also positioning them for better days ahead. To that end, this Lunch & Learn presentation will provide six strategies for making the most of 2021 and beyond that marketers should be thinking about now.

Danny's Bio:

Danny Fell has over thirty years of healthcare marketing and advertising experience working with some of the largest healthcare brands in the country. Nationally recognized for his writing and speaking on topics ranging from healthcare ratings and rankings to digital healthcare strategies, Danny’s articles have appeared in HealthLeaders, Modern Healthcare, Strategic Health Care Marketing and the Journal of Healthcare Management among others. He is the co-author of A Marketer’s Guide to Market Research and a member of the editorial advisory board of eHealthcare Strategy and Trends.

In addition, Danny has served on the board of the Amerian Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, and as president of the Tennessee Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations, and is an active member of the American Marketing Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. In 2012, Dany was honored as the very first recipient of the John A. Eudes Vision & Excellence Award for his contributions to digital marketing and thought-leadership within the healthcare industry.

Danny currently works with health systems across the country as a senior strategist with Optum where he focuses on consumer engagement, predictive modeling and digital transformation.
